How B.E.R. Began

It Started with a Vision

What began as a simple Facebook group founded by Roosevelt Kiser, M.Ed., quickly became a national force for change. His goal was to create a space where educators could support one another, share resources, and find encouragement in their shared mission.

From Social Media to a Nationwide Organization

Within just three months, the group exploded to over 150,000 educators across the country. Recognizing the need for a formalized platform, the nonprofit B.E.R. was born.

Expanding the Mission

With the help of Roosevelt’s former college professor, Dr. Melissa Chester, B.E.R. became an official nonprofit, opening its doors to members who are committed to supporting and inspiring students in our communities. Today, B.E.R. continues to grow, providing scholarships, professional development, and a robust community for educators.
